TangleWild Designs is partnering with Spoonflower and The Durham Hotel for a holiday pop-up workshop scheduled as a hands-on crafting event in addition to the Patchwork Holiday Market at the Armory. Market shoppers are invited to stop in the hotel's mezzanine for a 20 minute embroidery workshop with Fiona Podes of TangleWild Designs where they will learn the basics and have the chance to get started on an ornament design. Spoonflower, which prints the patterns for the embroidery kits, will be hosting a custom gift tag station where crafters can create their own tags using pieces of Spoonflower wallpaper designed by artists all over the world, and also make mini holiday wreaths.
Location: The 2nd Floor Mezzanine at The Durham Hotel
There is no fee for entry. The workshop includes the fabric with the design, needle and thread, and the supplies to finish the ornament will be on sale for $6.
Guests are invited to enjoy the coffeeshop or plan to have brunch in the restaurant between 11 am and 3 pm.
Signups before the embroidery class will reserve you a spot. Please be there five minutes prior to your scheduled workshop. If you are not there when the workshop starts we might need to give your spot away to people walking in. The Spoonflower tag station will be open on a first come, first served basis.
